Porter Keadle Moore, LLP, in conjunction with Georgia Southern University, will be sponsoring the Fourth Annual Fraud and Forensic Accounting Education Conference, to be held at the J.W. Marriott in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia. The conference will begin at 8:00 am on Thursday, May 13, and conclude at Noon on Saturday, May 15, 2010.

Based on past participant feedback and consistent with the conferences held in Savannah (2007) and Charleston (2008), the purpose of this conference will continue to assist educators, practitioners, and students in developing their academic and professional skills in specialized fields of fraud examination and forensic accounting. This 20 hour CPE conference program will de designed to include:

  • Nationally-prominent keynote speakers
  • 100-minute general sessions with topics of interest to all participants
  • 75-minute breakout sessions presented by fraud and forensic accounting professionals on a variety of basic to advanced-level topics
  • 50-minute breakout sessions presented by academics and practitioners regarding useful education tips, tools, and techniques effective in providing training in fraud and forensic accounting
  • Breaks, meals, and social events to provide networking opportunities
     

Call for Papers and Participation – Best Practices in Fraud and Forensic Accounting
We invite you to participate in the conference by submitting either an academic or a practitioner paper and making a presentation. Such papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of Forensic Studies in Accounting and Business.
